Updates run newest first. The latest shelter check is pinned to the top when there is one, with how many shelters report open, limited, full, or unknown. Tap any update to expand it, and tap Open source to go to the page it came from. On a computer, the update you pick also opens in a panel beside the list.

The Feed checks for new updates every 30 seconds on its own. Refresh checks right away. Load older reaches further back, until you hit End of current public feed.

Filter by type#

  • Dispatch: fire, EMS, and police calls, the same kind of records as Fire & Police calls.
  • Shelter: the latest bed check from Shelter.
  • Resources: directory activity, like listings being added or updated.
  • Alerts: active notices from Alerts.
  • Jail: new entries from the AIC roster. A booking is not a conviction.
  • Jobs: recent postings from Jobs.
  • System: notes posted by the LaneHelp team.

When a dispatch source is running behind, a note above the log says so. Springfield Police calls, for example, are published about two hours late.

Questions people ask

Is the Feed the same as Alerts?
No. Alerts sorts official warnings by topic. The Feed mixes alerts with calls, shelter, jobs, and more, in time order.
How often does it update?
Every 30 seconds while the page is open, or whenever you tap Refresh.
Why is the shelter update always at the top?
It’s pinned so the latest bed picture is the first thing you see. Open Shelter for the details, and call before you go.
